Sales & Technical JUniversity is a 4 step program enabling you to get knowledge in all of Juniper Networks Security platform. As you can see in the picture below Firewall/VPN forms the base of the pyramid with SMF, IDP, Secure Access and UAC lying on top of it.

Firewall/VPN Track:
Firewall/VPN products are the products with the highest revenue contribution for most of partners. Keeping this in mind this JUniversity starts with the main Firewall/VPN courses to layout the foundation of Juniper Networks security concepts and fundamentals. The firewall track will cover both basic and advance courses (5 days) including concepts such as:
-          Firewall Concepts and Basic Configuration
-          Administration & Management
-          Address books and Policy
-          Address Translation (NAT)
-          VPN Concepts and Configuration
-          Advance Static Routing
-          Virtualization
-          Netscreen Redundancy Protocol (NSRP),  High Availability
-          Deep Inspection and Screening option 

SMF & IDP:
After gaining enough knowledge on the fundamentals and some advance options of firewalls, you will attend the SMF and IDP class. These courses are intended to give you in depth knowledge of security threats and concepts of Intrusion Detection and Prevention. Moreover it will also include concepts on security manager. With security manager you will be able to manage and configure all of your security devices from a single point.  The second series of courses (SMF & IDP) will be three days covering:

-          Security Manager Concepts
-          Domain and Admins
-          Adding Devices, Objects & Templates
-          IDP concepts & Initial configuration
-          IDP Policies and Rulebase
-          Profiler and Attach Objects

SSL VPN:
Juniper Networks Secure Access leads the SSL VPN market with a complete range of remote-access appliances. Juniper Networks' SSL VPN products have a variety of form factors and features that can be combined to meet the needs of companies of all sizes. The third part of JUniversity course focuses on SSL VPN and covers subjects such as (2 days):
-          Technology and Terminology
-          Initial configuration
-          Roles and Resource policies
-          Authentication Servers
-          Client server application
-          End Point Security  

Unified Access Control:
Last 2 days of JUniversity will focus on Unified Access Control training which will cover:
-          UAC solution and Initial configuration
-          Access Control
-          Access control using 802.1x
-          Management
-          Authentication and Endpoint Defense
 

The focus of JUniversity will be on labs and hands on.
